โ๏ธ Shizuku Setup Guide
Complete beginner's guide to getting DPHMS running with Shizuku โ no root required
1
Install Shizuku
Download and install the Shizuku app:
๐ก Shizuku is a free, open-source framework. It's safe and widely used by thousands of apps.
2
Enable Wireless Debugging
On your Android phone:
- Open Settings โ About Phone
- Tap Build Number 7 times to unlock Developer Options
- Go back to Settings โ System โ Developer Options
- Enable Wireless Debugging (Android 11+)
โ ๏ธ If you see "Wireless debugging" greyed out, make sure you're connected to WiFi first. This does NOT require an actual wireless network โ it just needs WiFi enabled on your phone.
3
Pair Your Device
Inside Shizuku:
- Open the Shizuku app
- Tap Start next to "Wireless debugging"
- Tap Pair โ a pairing dialog appears
- On your phone, go to Wireless Debugging โ Pair device with pairing code
- Enter the 6-digit pairing code shown in Shizuku
- Wait for the "Successfully paired" message
๐ก The pairing code changes each time. If it doesn't work the first time, tap "Pair" again for a fresh code.
4
Start Shizuku Service
Once paired:
- Go back to the main Shizuku screen
- Tap Start under "Wireless debugging"
- Wait 2-3 seconds โ the status should show Running
- You'll see a notification that Shizuku is active
โ ๏ธ Shizuku stops when you reboot your phone. Just open Shizuku and tap "Start" again โ no need to re-pair.
5
Install DPHMS
Now that Shizuku is running:
- Download your DPHMS version from dphms.vercel.app
- Install the APK (allow "Install from unknown sources" if prompted)
- Open DPHMS โ it will automatically detect Shizuku

โ Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need root?
No. Shizuku uses wireless debugging to grant ADB-level permissions without root. Your phone stays fully unrooted.
Is Shizuku safe?
Yes. Shizuku is open-source with thousands of users. It only grants permissions to apps you explicitly approve. DPHMS cannot access anything without your Shizuku permission.
Does Shizuku drain my battery?
No. Shizuku runs as a lightweight background service with minimal battery impact. You can stop it anytime.
Why does Shizuku stop after rebooting?
Android's wireless debugging resets on reboot for security. Just open Shizuku and tap "Start" again โ pairing persists, so it takes 5 seconds.
What Android versions are supported?
Android 11 and above (API 30+). DPHMS has been tested through Android 15. If you're on Android 10 or below, you'll need a PC with ADB to start Shizuku.
I'm getting "Shizuku not running" in DPHMS
1) Open the Shizuku app 2) Check if status shows "Running" 3) If not, tap "Start" 4) Go back to DPHMS โ it should auto-detect. If still not working, try re-pairing.
Can I use DPHMS without Shizuku?
DPHMS Lite has basic monitoring features that work without Shizuku, but the core optimization features (network switching, app management, ADB commands) require Shizuku to function.
