Pair Shizuku wireless debugging without Wi-Fi or a PC
Android’s wireless-debugging pairing screen normally asks for a pairing code. DPHMS Tunnel provides a local pairing flow, so its guide says you do not need a computer, USB cable or Wi-Fi network. Mobile data can remain on; the pairing itself happens on the phone.
What you need
- An Android phone that supports Developer options and Wireless debugging.
- DPHMS Tunnel installed.
- Enough battery and permission to let the app run in the background.
This is not a way to bypass Android security. You must enable Developer options and approve the pairing on your own device.
Pair the phone
- Open Android Settings and enable Developer options if they are not already enabled.
- In Developer options, turn on Wireless debugging. Keep Settings available so you can read the pairing code.
- Open DPHMS Tunnel and start its pairing flow to show the pairing prompt.
- Choose Android’s wireless-debugging pairing option, enter the displayed six-digit code in Tunnel, and confirm pairing.
- Use Tunnel’s START action and check its status before opening another DPHMS app.
After a reboot
Tunnel is designed to re-arm wireless debugging and restore its Shizuku shell connection after reboot. This depends on Android allowing its background components to run. Some manufacturer battery-management settings can stop background work; if Tunnel reports that the connection is unavailable, open it and follow its status rather than assuming the service is active.
What this does not mean
“No Wi-Fi” means you do not need to join a Wi-Fi network for the local pairing flow. It does not mean the phone can skip Developer options, pairing approval or Android’s security controls. Tunnel does not root the phone. Network availability, Android version and manufacturer restrictions can affect behavior.
For the standard Shizuku setup, see the wireless-debugging guide. For Tunnel details and current availability, see DPHMS Tunnel.
Feature behavior and interface details may change between releases. Check the app’s status screen if your Android settings differ.
