Pick the radio mode your carrier handles best
Phone settings often hide the exact network types. DPHMS NetGuard lists 16 presets built from the Android allowed-network-types bitmask and applies them with one tap.
What it does
- Presets include 5G NR, 4G LTE, 5G+4G, 5G+4G+3G+2G, 4G+2G, 5G+3G, 3G+2G, 4G+3G+2G, IWLAN and LTE CA.
- Locking to 4G is a common fix for unstable 5G signal at the edge of coverage.
- Disabling 2G can reduce exposure to downgrade attacks on networks that still allow it.
- Results depend on your carrier and modem. Tested on a Moto G 2024 Power 5G running Android 15.
